The Team

Mike Williams

Mike WilliamsA hooker for Rosslyn Park and Blackheath in the 1960s and 70s Mike toured to the USA, and later with the Penguin International RFC to Africa.  For 11 years he coached England’s U16s, U18s and U19s, as well as the 1st team squads at Blackheath and Saracens, while also managing tour parties to many parts of the world.

A teacher at Sevenoaks School for 27 years, he organised the first UK rugby tours (other than by an International team) to Australia (1976), Fiji and New Zealand (1980) and Round the World (1980).

“The tours I travelled on as a player left indelible memories.  When Sevenoaks school were invited to British Colombia in 1974 I jumped at the chance.  When the pioneering tour to Australia led to my organising tours for other people, I determined that they would be as fulfilling and as exciting as any I had been on.”

Peter Churchill

Peter ChurchillPeter joined Intoursport in 2003, after a 25 year career in the City’s foreign exchange markets.  A former Sevenoaks School student he is involved in many sports – rugby, cricket, golf and sailing.

Having played at Sevenoaks Rugby Club, later coaching the club’s senior teams, he is now Rugby Development Manager with special responsibility over the Youth Section.  An experienced tourist, he coached two Sevenoaks Rugby Club Youth teams through South Africa.

Careful to the nth degree, loyal and dependable, Peter’s knowledge and experience in sport, finance and touring add immeasurably to Intoursport’s expertise.

Adrian “Bill” Belither

Bill Belither

Known to everyone as Bill, he attended Sevenoaks School, where Mike was  his Housemaster, Business Studies tutor and of course rugby coach. In 1976 he was a major part of Sevenoaks School’s ground-breaking tour to Australia. His memories of that ‘trip of a lifetime’ are still vivid.

So inspired by the tour was he that, as a student at Coventry (Lanchester) Polytechnic in 1982, he formed a player’s committee to organise a 3 week tour to Canada & USA, managing all aspects from travel to fixtures to sightseeing, as well as all the fundraising activities required.

On leaving college he joined Sevenoaks RFC playing in the 1st XV for 14 years, enjoying many short tours to Pontoise, a town close to Paris, twinned with Sevenoaks. After hanging up his boots he managed an age group from U7s  right through to U18s, reaching the RFU National U17s Cup Final in 2014, and spent 3 years as Youth Chairman. He is currently Pathway Manager at Sevenoaks RFC.
